Mayr Chorus and Cto Bassus team up to give us a Vesper Psalms album that is as enchanting as a royal wedding cake. Gaetano Donizetti’s compositions have been dusted off and brought to life in a way that will have you reaching for your nearest candle and velvet robe. The choir’s harmonies are so tight they could probably help you fix your leaky faucet, and the bass line hits harder than your morning espresso.
Each track is like a mini symphony, taking you on a journey through the highs and lows of human emotion. From the hauntingly beautiful “Psalm 109: Dixit Dominus” to the triumphant “Psalm 116: Laudate Dominum,” this album has it all.
