Our Take

QUEENSRYCHE's latest offering, "Frequency Unknown (Deluxe Edition)," is like a musical rollercoaster that takes you through the highs and lows of their epic discography. With catchy hooks and heavy riffs galore, this album definitely delivers the goods for die-hard fans of the band.

From the opening track, "Cold," to the soaring anthems like "In This Light" and "The Weight of the World," QUEENSRYCHE prove they still have what it takes to rock the house. Lead singer Todd La Torre's vocals are as powerful as ever, and his range is truly a force to be reckoned with.

But while the band's energy is infectious, there are moments where the album feels a bit derivative. Tracks like "Dare" and "Slave" sound like they could have been plucked straight out of the 80s, and not necessarily in a good way. While it's clear that QUEENSRYCHE are paying homage to their roots, it would be nice to see them push the boundaries a bit more and explore new musical territory.

Overall, "Frequency Unknown (Deluxe Edition)" is a solid addition to QUEENSRYCHE's discography. While it may not reinvent the wheel, it's a fun, nostalgic ride that will have you headbanging along in no time. So strap in, turn up the volume, and get ready to rock out with these legendary rockers.
