Our Take
Ah, Ricky Nelson, the heartthrob of the 50s and 60s. His music may have been teeny-bop pop, but damn if it wasn't catchy as hell. This compilation of his four classic albums is a trip down memory lane, complete with slicked-back hair and leather jackets. First up is "Ricky," Nelson's debut album that shot him to fame with hits like "Be-Bop Baby" and "Stood Up." The innocence in his voice is both charming and slightly cringeworthy, but hey, it was a different time. Next, we have "Ricky Nelson," where he starts to dip his toes into more mature themes.
