AC/DC, the Australian rock legends who have been delivering hard-hitting tunes since before you were even a twinkle in your parents' eyes, are back with their sixth studio album, "For Those About To Rock We Salute You." And let me tell you, this album is about as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face.
From the opening track, the anthemic "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)," to the head-banging "Let's Get It Up," AC/DC waste no time in reminding us why they are one of the most iconic rock bands of all time. Brian Johnson's gravelly vocals are still as powerful as ever, while Angus Young's blistering guitar solos will have you air-guitaring like a teenager all over again.
The album may not break any new ground in terms of musical innovation, but who needs innovation when you've got riffs this infectious and a rhythm section that hits harder than a pint of warm beer at a pub on a Friday night? Tracks like "Inject The Venom" and "Evil Walks" will have you headbanging so hard, you'll get whiplash.
So, if you're in the mood for some good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll that will make you want to crack open a beer and throw horns in the air, look no further than AC/DC's "For Those About To Rock We Salute You."
