Our Take

It is with a heavy heart and rumbling stomach that I must tackle the latest offering from SHAME, entitled "Food For Worms." This album is a veritable feast for the ears, with a smorgasbord of punk-infused tracks that are as delectable as they are delicious.

Kicking things off with the delectable opener "Maggots in My Soup," SHAME serves up a piping hot dish of angst and aggression, with frontman Charlie Steen's vocals simmering over a bed of crunchy guitars and pounding drums. The result is a sonic banquet that is sure to leave you with a belly full of mosh pit bruises and a heart full of glee.

But it's not all head-banging and thrashing about on "Food For Worms." Tracks like "Banquet of Bones" and "Rotten Ravioli" showcase SHAME's more melodic side, with haunting harmonies and sweetly twisted melodies that will linger on your palate long after the record has finished spinning.

In conclusion, "Food For Worms" is a veritable feast for the senses, a sonic smorgasbord that will leave you licking your lips and begging for seconds. SHAME have cooked up a storm with this album, and I for one will be first in line at the buffet when they come to town. Bon appétit, music lovers.

About the artist

Shame

Hailing from the bustling streets of London, SHAME burst onto the music scene like a hurricane, leaving audiences breathless with their raw energy and blistering punk rock sound. This five-piece band has been making waves in the industry since their formation in 2014, drawing comparisons to legendary acts such as The Clash and The Sex Pistols. Fronted by the charismatic and enigmatic Charlie Steen, SHAME delivers a no-holds-barred performance that is as captivating as it is chaotic. With their ferocious guitars, thunderous drums, and anthemic choruses, this band knows how to whip a crowd into a frenzy like no other. But don't let their wild stage presence fool you - SHAME's lyrics are as sharp as a razor and cut straight to the bone, tackling issues such as societal decay, political corruption, and the struggles of modern life. Their debut album "Songs of Praise" received critical acclaim from all corners of the music world, solidifying their status as one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the UK in recent years. Whether they're tearing up a festival stage or playing an intimate club show, SHAME never fails to deliver a performance that will leave you sweaty, exhilarated, and begging for more. So do yourself a favour and dive headfirst into the wild and wonderful world of SHAME - you won't regret it.
