Our Take
When Mastodon released "Fallen Torches," we were left wondering if they were secretly sponsored by Red Bull because this album is a non-stop adrenaline rush. From the opening track "Fallen Torches," which hits you like a sledgehammer to the face, to the mind-bending complexity of "Pushing the Tides," Mastodon proves once again why they are legends in the metal world.
The band's signature blend of sludgy riffs, thunderous drums, and haunting melodies is on full display here, showing off their technical prowess and songwriting virtuosity. Tracks like "Rufus Lives" and "Hagamemnon" are like a rollercoaster ride through a post-apocalyptic wasteland, with twists and turns that will leave you breathless.
