Our Take

Ringo Starr, the man, the myth, the legend. The former Beatles drummer has dropped yet another EP, aptly titled "EP3." And let me tell you, it's a wild ride from start to finish.

From the opening track "Peace Be With You," you're immediately transported to a groovy world of peace, love, and tambourines. Starr's signature laid-back vocals are as soothing as a warm cuppa tea on a rainy day in London.

But don't be fooled by the chill vibes, because things quickly pick up with "Gotta Get Up to Get Down." With its funky bassline and infectious chorus, this track will have you dancing around your living room like it's the swinging '60s all over again.

"Let Love Lead" slows things down a bit, with Starr's heartfelt lyrics reminding us all to let love guide us through life's ups and downs. It's a poignant moment that showcases the depth of Starr's songwriting.

And just when you think you've heard it all, "Thanks for the Pepperoni" hits you like a ton of bricks. This rollicking closer is pure fun, with its catchy hooks and killer guitar solos leaving you wanting more.

Overall, "EP3" is a joyous romp through Starr's musical world, proving once again that this man knows how to rock and roll with the best of them. So sit back, relax, and let Ringo take you on a journey you won't soon forget. Peace and love, baby. Peace and love.

About the artist

Ringo Starr

Ah, Ringo Starr. The lovable, affable, and oh-so-underrated drummer of the Fab Four. While Lennon and McCartney may have stolen the spotlight with their songwriting prowess, Ringo held down the beat with style and substance. With his cheeky grin and infectious enthusiasm, Ringo brought a unique energy to the Beatles that can't be replicated. Born Richard Starkey in Liverpool, England, Ringo's journey to stardom was anything but conventional. From working odd jobs to playing in local bands, he finally found his big break when he joined a little known group called The Beatles. The rest, as they say, is history. Ringo's drumming style may have been simple, but it was undeniably effective. His steady backbeat provided the foundation for some of the greatest songs in rock 'n' roll history, from "A Hard Day's Night" to "Come Together." And let's not forget his iconic vocals on hits like "With a Little Help from My Friends" and "Yellow Submarine." But Ringo's talents didn't stop at the drum kit. He also proved himself as a songwriter with tracks like "Octopus's Garden" and "Don't Pass Me By." And his solo career, though often overshadowed by his Beatle days, produced some truly underrated gems. So here's to Ringo Starr, the unsung hero of the Beatles. With his infectious charm and undeniable talent, he may have been the underdog of the band, but he was certainly the heart and soul. Peace and love, Ringo. Peace and love.
