About the artist
Ennanga Vision
ENNANGA VISION is the hypnotic brainchild of producer and musician Gabriel Cyr, aka Bony Fly. This Cameroon-born, Belgium-based artist fuses traditional African rhythms with electronic beats to create a genre-defying sound that is as infectious as it is innovative. With a background in both the Brussels electronic music scene and the Yaoundé underground music scene, ENNANGA VISION draws on a diverse range of influences to create music that is both familiar and completely fresh. Imagine Fela Kuti jamming with Daft Punk in a sweaty, packed club, and you might come close to capturing the essence of this unique project. The live show is a spectacle in itself, with Bony Fly leading a band of talented musicians through a set that is equal parts dance party and spiritual experience. The energy is infectious, the beats are relentless, and the crowd can't help but be swept up in the magic of it all. ENNANGA VISION's debut self-titled album received widespread critical acclaim, with many praising its bold sonic experimentation and fearless genre-melding. Tracks like "Lamnay," "Eye of the Storm," and "Bone Diggers" showcase Bony Fly's ability to seamlessly blend the traditional with the modern, creating a sound that is truly his own. In a musical landscape where artists often play it safe, ENNANGA VISION stands out as a fearless and boundary-pushing force to be reckoned with. Keep an eye on this rising star, because with his infectious beats and unapologetic creativity, there's no telling where he might go next.
