Our Take
It's 2023, and I haven't felt this alive since the Spice Girls reunion tour. Enter Spit Like Paint, the avant-garde emo-electro-pop duo that's about to paint the town red - or should I say, spit like it's never been spat before. En Masse, their latest offering, is a rollercoaster of emotions, beats, and unexpected turns that leave you questioning reality and your Spotify subscription. From the opening track "Cherry Bombshell" to the haunting melodies of "Ghost in the Machine," Spit Like Paint doesn't hold back. They challenge the status quo, push boundaries, and make you want to dance like nobody's watching - even if you're in the middle of a lockdown. Lead vocalist Luna Silver and producer Felix Noise are a match made in musical heaven. Luna's vocals soar effortlessly over Felix's intricate beats, creating a sonic landscape that's equal parts chaotic and euphoric. It's like Bjork meets Daft Punk meets your weirdest dreams - and I'm here for it. Tracks like "Neon Nightmare" and "Electric Sheep" showcase Spit Like Paint's ability to blend genres seamlessly. They're unapologetically themselves, and it's refreshing to see a band embrace their quirks and run with them. In a world full of cookie-cutter pop acts and soulless EDM tracks, Spit Like Paint is a breath of fresh air.
