Our Take
Ah, First Aid Kit, the Scandinavian sister duo that hits harder than a shot of Aquavit. Their EP "Drunken Trees" is a intoxicating blend of folk-inspired melodies and haunting harmonies that make you feel like you're stumbling through a forest at twilight. From the opening track "Little Moon," you can tell these Swedish sirens mean business. The vocals are as crisp as a winter morning in Stockholm, and the lyrics cut deeper than an IKEA allen key. "You're not a wolf, and I'm not a sheep" they croon, as if daring you to challenge their musical prowess. But it's on tracks like "Tangerine" and "Our Own Pretty Ways" where the duo really shine.
