Our Take

Bill Wyman's Drive My Car?? more like Drive Me Insane with its lacklustre, uninspired offerings. The former Rolling Stones bassist's attempt at a solo venture falls flat, failing to capture the magic that made the Stones legendary.

From the opening track, it's clear that Wyman is out of his depth, with lacklustre vocals and forgettable instrumentation. The title track, a feeble attempt at a rock anthem, lacks the energy and charisma that made the Stones so iconic. It's as if Wyman has forgotten everything he learned during his time with one of the greatest rock bands of all time.

Tracks like "Lost It", "No Direction", and "Underwhelming" feel like filler, with no real substance or emotion behind them. It's a shame to see such a talented musician squander his potential on such a lacklustre album.

In the end, Drive My Car is a forgettable, uninspired effort that does little to showcase Wyman's talents. Fans of the Rolling Stones would be better off sticking to the band's discography, rather than wasting their time on this lacklustre solo outing. Drive My Car? More like Drive Me to Turn It Off.
