The debut album from Yorkshire indie-rockers The Rills, "Don't Be a Stranger," is a raucous rollercoaster of a record that will have you dancing, laughing, and wondering where this band has been all your life. From the opening track "Skint Kids Disco" to the closing notes of "Goodbye, Old Friend," The Rills deliver hook after hook of infectious guitar riffs and catchy melodies that will burrow their way into your brain and refuse to leave. Lead singer Mitch Spencer's gravelly vocals provide the perfect counterpoint to the band's punchy rhythms and jangly guitars, creating a sound that is at once familiar and refreshingly new. Standout tracks include the anthemic "Lads On Tour" and the summery "Sunflower Scream," both of which showcase the band's knack for writing catchy, sing-along choruses that will have you hitting repeat on your Spotify playlist.
