Our Take

Ah, Disturbed, the band that could start a mosh pit in a retirement home. With their latest album "Divisive", they continue to show us why they're the kings of brooding, angst-ridden rock.

From the moment you press play, you're hit with a wall of sound that feels like getting punched in the face by a WWE wrestler - in a good way, of course. The opening track "Rage Against the Machine" (no relation to the band) sets the tone perfectly with its thunderous guitars and lead singer David Draiman's signature growls.

But it's not all aggression and headbanging. Tracks like "Melancholy" and "Broken and Beautiful" show a more vulnerable side to the band, with introspective lyrics that hit you right in the feels.

However, not all is perfect in the land of Disturbed. Some moments on the album feel a bit too familiar, like they've been recycled from their previous hits. And the constant use of heavy guitars and angsty lyrics can start to feel a bit one-dimensional after a while.

Overall, "Divisive" is a solid addition to Disturbed's discography, showcasing their ability to blend raw emotion with bone-crushing riffs. Whether you're a die-hard fan or a casual listener, this album is definitely worth a listen - just be prepared to have your eardrums assaulted in the best possible way.
