Our Take
Our Take
Stiv Bators, the punk rock legend turned solo artist, brings us "Disconnected" – a chaotic yet oddly charming album that keeps you on your toes from start to finish. Bators, known for his edgy persona and rebellious attitude, doesn't disappoint with this release.
The album starts off with the explosive track "Evil Boy," a gritty and raw anthem that sets the tone for the rest of the record. Bators' vocals, filled with grit and emotion, shine through on tracks like "Not That Way Anymore" and "Make Up Your Mind," showcasing his versatility as a musician.
"Disconnected" isn't afraid to push boundaries, with tracks like "I Wanna Forget You (Just the Way You Are)" and "Treat Me Like the Dog I Am" delving into darker subject matter with a cheeky twist. Bators isn't afraid to be himself, and it shows in every track on this album.
Overall, "Disconnected" is a wild ride that will leave you exhilarated and slightly dizzy. Bators' passion and energy are infectious, and his unique blend of punk rock and pop sensibilities make this album a standout in his discography. So grab your leather jacket, crank up the volume, and get ready to be "Disconnected" with Stiv Bators.

About the artist
Stiv Bators
STIV BATORS: The Rebellious Ringleader of Punk Rock If there's one artist who embodied the spirit of punk rock, it's the enigmatic Stiv Bators. With his signature sneer and devil-may-care attitude, Bators burst onto the music scene in the late 1970s as the lead singer of the influential band, The Dead Boys. His raw vocals and chaotic stage presence instantly set him apart from his contemporaries, earning him a reputation as one of the most dynamic frontmen in punk history. But Bators was more than just a punk icon; he was a true rock 'n' roll renegade. From his early days in Ohio to his later adventures in New York City, Bators always pushed the boundaries of convention, both musically and personally. His offstage antics were legendary, with tales of debauchery and mayhem following him wherever he went. Despite his wild reputation, Bators was a gifted songwriter and musician, with a knack for crafting infectious hooks and anthemic choruses. His solo work, including the critically acclaimed album "Disconnected," showcased a more melodic side to his songwriting, proving that he was much more than just a punk provocateur. Tragically, Bators passed away in 1990, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire generations of musicians to this day. His fearless approach to music and life serves as a reminder that true artistry knows no bounds. So here's to Stiv Bators, the rebellious ringleader of punk rock, whose memory lives on in the hearts and minds of music lovers everywhere. Rest in power, Stiv.
