Our Take
Roy's latest offering, "Destiny Time," is more of a rollercoaster ride than a musical journey. The album is a mishmash of influences, ranging from 80s synth-pop to contemporary indie rock, all held together by Roy's charmingly off-kilter vocals. From the opening track, "Starlight Serenade," Roy sets the tone for the album with its infectious energy and irresistible hooks. It's a clear standout that will have you tapping your feet and singing along in no time. But as the album progresses, things start to get a little... well, weird. Tracks like "Galactic Groove" and "Time Warp Tango" take a sharp left turn into experimental territory, with quirky lyrics and unconventional structures that may leave some listeners scratching their heads. That's not to say there aren't moments of brilliance on "Destiny Time."
