Our Take
Our Take
In Demand Full Automation, Simon Crab takes us on a sonic journey that is as bizarre as it is captivating. Known for his experimental approach to music, Crab certainly doesn't disappoint with this album.
From the moment you press play, you are hit with a cacophony of electronic sounds that feel like they're coming at you from every direction. It's chaotic, it's unpredictable, and it's utterly brilliant.
Crab's use of unconventional instrumentation is truly impressive. From distorted synths to glitchy samples, he creates a swirling mass of sound that somehow manages to feel cohesive and purposeful.
Tracks like "Automated Bliss" and "Cybernetic Dreams" showcase Crab's ability to create music that is both challenging and strangely hypnotic. The way he layers different sounds and textures is nothing short of masterful.
Demand Full Automation is not an album for the faint of heart. It's bold, uncompromising, and completely unique. But if you're willing to take the plunge into Crab's world of weird and wonderful music, you'll be rewarded with a listening experience like no other. Trust us, it's worth it.

About the artist
Simon Crab
Simon Crab, also known as Bourbonate, is a British electronic musician and founding member of the experimental music group Bourbonese Qualk. With a career spanning over four decades, Crab has cemented his reputation as a pioneer in the industrial and post-punk music scenes. Known for his eclectic soundscapes and innovative use of sampling and synthesis, Crab is a master at creating immersive sonic landscapes that challenge conventional notions of music. His work often blurs the lines between genres, incorporating elements of industrial, ambient, techno, and even folk music into his compositions. But don't let Crab's experimental tendencies fool you - beneath the layers of distortion and electronic manipulation lies a keen sense of melody and songcraft. Tracks like "Lies" and "Deadly Nightshade" showcase Crab's ability to combine avant-garde techniques with catchy hooks, creating music that is both challenging and accessible. In addition to his work with Bourbonese Qualk, Crab has also released several solo albums under his own name, further establishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in the electronic music world. With a discography that spans over 20 albums, Crab shows no signs of slowing down, constantly pushing the boundaries of sound and composition. Whether you're a seasoned fan or a newcomer to Crab's music, one thing is for certain - his unique blend of experimentation and melody is not to be missed. So sit back, turn up the volume, and let Simon Crab take you on a journey through the outer reaches of electronic music.
