Our Take

Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding is a game that's been shrouded in mystery, much like my love life. But one thing that's not a mystery is the soundtrack, a collection of 22 ethereal tracks that will make you feel like you're floating through a post-apocalyptic dream world.

Featuring contributions from artists like CHVRCHES, Bring Me The Horizon, and The Neighbourhood, this album is a wild ride from start to finish. CHVRCHES' "Death Stranding" is a hauntingly beautiful opener, with lead singer Lauren Mayberry's vocals soaring over a cascade of shimmering synths. It's enough to make you want to take a long, contemplative walk through a barren wasteland (or just around your living room, whichever works).

But it's not all doom and gloom on this soundtrack. Bring Me The Horizon's "Ludens" is a bombastic anthem that'll make you want to grab a pair of cargo shorts and start delivering packages like there's no tomorrow. And The Neighbourhood's "Yellow Box" is a tense, pulsating track that'll have you on the edge of your seat (or edge of your bathtub, if you're into that sort of thing).

Overall, Death Stranding's soundtrack is a mesmerising mix of genres and emotions that perfectly complements the game's atmosphere.
