Ah, Distant Dawn of Corruption - what can I say about this album that hasn't already been said about a soggy chip on a rainy day in London? This record is like taking a trip down memory lane and realizing you've lost your wallet halfway through.
From the moment the first track kicks in, you're transported to a world of chaos and confusion, like trying to navigate the London Underground on a Sunday afternoon. The production is as slick as a wet pavement, with layers of distortion and feedback that hit you like a double-decker bus.
Vocally, the lead singer channels the spirit of a drunken pub karaoke session, with lyrics that are as nonsensical as trying to understand the rules of cricket. But somehow, it all works together in a beautifully shambolic mess that is both endearing and frustrating at the same time.
The instrumentation is a whirlwind of noise and energy, like a group of pigeons fighting over a discarded sandwich in Trafalgar Square. Each song feels like a different journey through the streets of London, with twists and turns that keep you on your toes (or should I say, on your heels).
