Our Take

DAUGHTRY's self-titled debut album is a rollercoaster of emotions, much like the British weather. Frontman Chris Daughtry showcases his powerhouse vocals in tracks like "It's Not Over" and "What I Want", proving that he's more than just a contestant from a reality TV show.

The band's ability to seamlessly blend rock and pop influences is as impressive as finding a decent cup of tea in the States. Songs like "Home" and "Over You" showcase DAUGHTRY's knack for creating catchy hooks and anthemic choruses that will have you singing along in no time.

However, there are moments where the album falls flat, much like the disappointing ending of your favorite British drama. Some tracks feel a bit formulaic and derivative, lacking the originality and innovation needed to truly stand out in today's music scene.

Overall, DAUGHTRY's debut album is a solid effort that showcases the band's potential for greatness. While it may not reinvent the wheel, it's a fun and enjoyable listen that will have you tapping your foot and nodding your head along to the infectious melodies. So grab a pint, put on your best British accent, and give DAUGHTRY a spin – you won't be disappointed.
