Our Take
Our Take
Palma Violets burst back onto the scene with their sophomore effort, "Danger In The Club," and it's clear that these cheeky lads from South London are not here to play it safe. The album kicks off with the title track, a raucous anthem that sets the tone for the rest of the record - fast-paced, energetic, and filled with a healthy dose of rebellious spirit.
Lead single "English Tongue" is a standout track, with its infectious chorus and playful lyrics that will have you singing along after just one listen. The band's signature garage rock sound is still present, but there's a newfound maturity and confidence in their songwriting that elevates this album above their debut.
"Gout! Gang! Go!” is a psychedelic gem that showcases the band's ability to experiment with different sounds and textures, while tracks like "Coming Over to My Place" and "Peter and the Gun" are pure punk rock anthems that will have you jumping around like a teenager at their first gig.
Palma Violets may not be reinventing the wheel with "Danger In The Club," but what they lack in originality they make up for in sheer exuberance and infectious energy. This album is a wild ride from start to finish, and one that is sure to leave you craving more. So grab a drink, hit play, and get ready to dance the night away with Palma Violets. Cheers!
