Our Take
Our Take
In the glittery, glam-rock underworld of T.Rex, Marc Bolan is the undisputed king of cool. And with the reissue of their final album "Dandy in the Underworld" on striking red and blue vinyl, it's clear that the band's legacy is still burning bright.
From the infectious groove of the title track to the ethereal beauty of "Soul of My Suit," this album is a testament to Bolan's unique blend of rock 'n' roll swagger and poetic lyricism. And let's not forget about the iconic hit "I Love to Boogie," which still sounds as fresh and funky as ever.
The production on this reissue is top-notch, bringing out the warm tones and shimmery guitars that made T.Rex a household name in the 70s. Each song sparkles like a glitter bomb exploding in your headphones, leaving you craving more of that trademark Bolan magic.
So whether you're a die-hard T.Rex fan or a newcomer to the glam-rock scene, "Dandy in the Underworld" is a must-have addition to your vinyl collection. It's a wild ride through a land of velvet and sequins, where the music is loud and the party never stops. So grab your platforms and get ready to boogie, because T.Rex is back in town and they're ready to rock your world.

About the artist
T.Rex
T.REX is the brainchild of English singer-songwriter and glam rock pioneer, Marc Bolan. With his trademark curly hair, glittery outfits, and larger-than-life persona, Bolan became a cultural icon in the 1970s. Born Mark Feld in London in 1947, Bolan found early success as a member of the mod band John's Children before forming T.REX in 1967. The band's breakthrough came in 1970 with the release of their self-titled album, which featured the hit singles "Ride a White Swan" and "Metal Guru." Known for their catchy hooks, provocative lyrics, and electrifying live performances, T.REX quickly became one of the most popular acts of the glam rock era. Bolan's flamboyant stage presence and sizzling guitar riffs captivated audiences around the world, earning him a legion of devoted fans. Despite their commercial success, T.REX faced criticism from some music critics who dismissed them as mere purveyors of style over substance. However, their influence on the glam rock genre cannot be overstated, with artists ranging from David Bowie to Iggy Pop citing Bolan as a major inspiration. Tragically, Bolan's life was cut short in 1977 when he was killed in a car accident at the age of 29. But his legacy lives on through T.REX's music, which continues to inspire new generations of fans and musicians alike. With their anthemic rock anthems and infectious glam energy, T.REX remains a timeless and essential part of the music landscape.
