Pinkwash's latest album, "Collective Sigh," is like a breath of fresh air in a sea of predictable indie rock. The Philadelphia-based duo, consisting of Joey Doubek and Ashley Arnwine, have managed to create a sound that is both chaotic and melodic, abrasive yet catchy. From the moment the album kicks off with the blistering track "Metastatic," it's clear that Pinkwash aren't here to play it safe. Doubek's guttural screams are juxtaposed beautifully with Arnwine's intricate drumming, creating a sound that is as intense as it is captivating.
