Our Take

SABATON's "Coat of Arms" album marches boldly onto the battlefield of power metal, armed with epic tales of military history and riffs sharp enough to pierce through plate armour. The Swedish band continues their conquest of the metal world with this bombastic offering, raising the flags of long-lost battles and courageous warriors.

From the opening track "Dominium Maris Baltici" to the closing anthem "Metal Ripper," SABATON delivers an onslaught of anthemic choruses, thunderous drumming, and guitar solos that could rouse even the most pacifist listener to charge into battle. Frontman Joakim Brodén's gravelly vocals lead the charge, narrating tales of heroism and sacrifice with the charisma of a seasoned general.

While some may scoff at the band's penchant for militaristic themes, SABATON's sheer enthusiasm and musical prowess cannot be denied. Tracks like "Uprising" and "Screaming Eagles" showcase the band's ability to turn historical events into fist-pumping, head-banging anthems that are as catchy as they are epic.
