Our Take

In a world where cookie-cutter sounds reign supreme, AIDS Wolf emerges with their latest cacophony of madness, "Cities of Glass." This Canadian noise rock band has been pushing boundaries since 2003, and this album is no exception. From the moment you hit play, you are thrown into a whirlwind of distorted guitars, frenzied drums, and haunting vocals. It's chaotic, it's messy, it's frankly a bit bonkers - but oh boy, is it exhilarating. Tracks like "Wade into the Water" and "We Multiply" hit you like a sonic punch to the gut, while the eerie whispers in "Teaching to Suffer" will send shivers down your spine. This is music for those who like their ears to bleed a little, in the best possible way. But don't let the noise fool you - there is method to the madness. AIDS Wolf may be experimental, but there is a precision and intentionality to their dissonance that keeps you hooked from start to finish. "Cities of Glass" is not for the faint-hearted, that's for sure. But if you're willing to embrace the chaos, you'll find yourself lost in a sonic landscape unlike anything else out there. AIDS Wolf may not be for everyone, but for those who dare to listen, the rewards are endless.
