Our Take
Ah, Zombeaches. The band name alone is enough to intrigue any music lover. And with their latest offering, "Cheers to the Future," they once again deliver a heady mix of beachy vibes and zombie-tinged tunes that somehow just works. From the moment the first track kicks in, you can't help but be transported to a world where the undead sip cocktails on the sand whilst bopping along to catchy pop melodies. It's a strange juxtaposition, but one that Zombeaches pull off with aplomb. Lead singer Lucy Bones' vocals are as haunting as they are delightful, floating effortlessly over the surf-rock inspired instrumentals. The band's ability to blend macabre lyrics with upbeat rhythms is truly a testament to their skill as musicians. Tracks like "Undead Love" and "Tiki Tomb" are standouts, with their infectious hooks and toe-tapping beats.
