Our Take

French garage rockers J.C. SATAN have returned with their latest offering, "Centaur Desire," and it's safe to say that this album is like a wild ride through a psychedelic carnival. The band effortlessly blends elements of punk, shoegaze, and 60s pop to create a sound that is uniquely their own.

From the moment the opening track kicks in, you are transported to a world where the guitars are fuzzy, the vocals are dreamy, and the drums are pounding like a heart on the verge of bursting. Tracks like "Crystal Clear" and "I Am the Lonely Girl" showcase the band's ability to create infectious hooks that will have you singing along in no time.

But don't be fooled by the catchy melodies, there is a darkness lurking beneath the surface of "Centaur Desire." Songs like "Doomed City" and "Heavy Shine" delve into themes of isolation and despair, adding a layer of depth to an otherwise upbeat album.

Overall, "Centaur Desire" is a wild and unpredictable journey that will leave you craving more. J.C. SATAN has once again proven that they are a force to be reckoned with in the world of garage rock. So grab your leather jacket, crank up the volume, and let yourself be swept away by the sonic chaos that is "Centaur Desire."

About the artist

J.C. Satàn

J.C. SATAN are the French band that have been causing a stir in the underground music scene for years. With a name that would make your grandmother gasp, this five-piece outfit have been turning heads and melting faces with their blistering blend of garage rock, punk attitude, and a healthy dose of psychedelic weirdness. Formed in Bordeaux in 2008, J.C. SATAN have been honing their craft and building a cult following with their infectious energy and fiery live performances. Drawing influences from the likes of The Stooges, Black Sabbath, and The Velvet Underground, their music is a frenetic mix of fuzzed-out guitars, pounding rhythms, and otherworldly vocals that will transport you to another dimension. Lead singer and guitarist, Arthur Dolo, is a force to be reckoned with on stage, his wild antics and ferocious guitar playing earning him a reputation as one of the most exciting frontmen in the business. The rest of the band are no slouches either, with Mathilde Presley on bass, Romain Crystal on guitar, and Antoine Tao on drums, they form a tight-knit unit that can take you from a whisper to a scream in the blink of an eye. With a string of critically acclaimed albums under their belt, including the fantastic "Sick of Love" and "Centaur Desire", J.C. SATAN are a band that are not to be missed. They may be a little bit naughty, a little bit nice, but one thing's for sure – they are definitely a hell of a good time. Keep an eye out for them on their next tour – they'll blow your mind and leave you begging for more.
