If you're in the mood for a musical journey that is as eclectic as it is captivating, look no further than Tom Cora & David Moss' latest collaboration, Cargo Cult Revival. This album is a sonic rollercoaster that will have you laughing, crying, and scratching your head in pure bewilderment.
From the moment the record kicks off with the hauntingly beautiful "Shipwrecked at the Stable Door," you know you're in for a wild ride. Cora's cello work is nothing short of mesmerizing, weaving in and out of Moss's off-kilter vocals with a sense of urgency and unpredictability that is truly enthralling.
Tracks like "Rituals of the Banana Cult" and "Sacrificial Anode" showcase the duo's penchant for experimentation, blending elements of avant-garde jazz, post-punk, and world music in a way that is both innovative and oddly satisfying. And let's not forget Moss's vocal acrobatics, which range from guttural growls to eerie whispers, adding an extra layer of intrigue to an already complex sound.

About the artist
Tom Cora & David Moss
TOM CORA Tom Cora, the avant-garde cellist extraordinaire, left a lasting mark on the world of experimental music before his untimely death in 1998. Known for his innovative use of extended techniques and the ability to coax sounds from his instrument that most cellists didn't even know existed, Cora was a true pioneer in his field. Born and raised in Yancey Mills, Virginia, Cora cut his teeth playing with the likes of John Zorn and Fred Frith in the bustling downtown scene of New York City in the '80s. His collaborations with Zorn's groundbreaking Naked City project and his work with the seminal band Skeleton Crew showcased Cora's unique ability to blend classical sensibilities with a punk rock attitude. Despite his tragic passing, Cora's influence looms large over the world of experimental music to this day. His adventurous spirit and fearlessness in the face of convention continue to inspire musicians around the globe. Tom Cora may be gone, but his music lives on. DAVID MOSS David Moss, the enigmatic vocalist and percussionist, is a true force of nature in the world of experimental music. Known for his wild improvisational skills and boundless creativity, Moss has carved out a niche for himself as one of the most fearless and unpredictable performers in the industry. Hailing from New York City, Moss first made a name for himself in the downtown scene in the '70s, collaborating with luminaries like John Zorn and Henry Kaiser. His unorthodox approach to vocalizing, which often involves a dizzying array of vocal tics, loops, and shrieks, has earned him a reputation as a boundary-pushing artist unafraid to take risks. With a discography that includes collaborations with the likes of Fred Frith and Christian Marclay, Moss has established himself as a true maverick in the world of experimental music. His live performances are a sight to behold, with
