Our Take
Del Amitri's latest offering "Can You Do Me Good?" is a whirlwind of nostalgia and introspection. From the moment track one hits your eardrums, you are transported back to the heyday of Britpop, when Oasis ruled the charts and everyone wore bucket hats unironically. The band's signature blend of jangly guitars and heartfelt lyrics is on full display here, and longtime fans will not be disappointed. Lead singer Justin Currie's vocals are as gravelly and emotive as ever, painting a vivid picture of love, loss, and everything in between. Standout tracks include the anthemic "Not Where It's At" and the achingly beautiful "Just Like a Man", which showcases Del Amitri's ability to craft a poignant ballad that hits you right in the feels.
