Our Take

Cahoots, oh Cahoots. The band that everyone pretended to know about in the 70s, but secretly had no idea who they were. Well, fear not, because their 50th Anniversary (Super Deluxe Edition) (1/2 Speed) has arrived to remind us all just how forgettable they were.

The album kicks off with their hit single "Cahoots Ahoy!", a catchy tune that will have you tapping your foot and questioning why this band never made it big. Maybe because they sound like a knockoff version of every other mediocre 70s rock band.

But don't worry, things pick up with tracks like "Cahoots in the Night" and "Cahoots-O-Rama", where the band really starts to find their groove. Or at least, a slightly less unimpressive groove.

The super deluxe edition features bonus tracks like "Cahoots Unplugged" and "Cahoots: The Remixes", because apparently someone out there was clamoring for even more Cahoots content. Who knew?

Overall, Cahoots' 50th Anniversary (Super Deluxe Edition) (1/2 Speed) is a fun trip down memory lane for the Cahoots fan who never existed. So, dust off your bell-bottoms and crank up the volume, because Cahoots is back and just as forgettable as ever.
