Our Take
Cannibal Corpse's "Butchered at Birth" is not for the faint of heart, that's for sure. This album is a relentless onslaught of brutal death metal that will leave you feeling like you've been through a meat grinder. From the very first track, "Meat Hook Sodomy", to the final gut-wrenching notes of "Innards Decay", Cannibal Corpse shows no mercy in their sonic assault. The band's signature blend of technicality and aggression is on full display here, with intricate guitar riffs, thunderous drumming, and guttural vocals that sound like they're coming straight from the depths of hell. The production on "Butchered at Birth" is raw and unpolished, adding to the overall sense of brutality that permeates every track. Lyrically, Cannibal Corpse leaves nothing to the imagination, with songs about murder, dismemberment, and all manner of unspeakable horrors.
