Our Take

Terminal Bliss's debut album, "Brute Err / Atain," is a frenetic onslaught of noise that will leave you feeling like you've just been run over by a runaway train. Picking up where legendary punk bands like Black Flag and The Jesus Lizard left off, this supergroup comprised of members from Pg. 99, Darkest Hour, and City of Caterpillar delivers a visceral and unapologetically raw listening experience.

From the moment the opening track "Clean Bill of Wealth" kicks in, it's clear that Terminal Bliss is not here to play nice. The guitars are abrasive, the drums are pounding, and the vocals are downright feral. It's like being trapped in a chaotic mosh pit where every punch and kick has been perfectly choreographed to the music.

But amid all the chaos and aggression, there's a surprising amount of musicality to be found. Tracks like "Small One Time Fee" and "Dystopian Buffet" showcase the band's ability to craft catchy hooks and clever arrangements without sacrificing any of their intensity.

In a world where punk rock has become increasingly sanitized and commercialized, Terminal Bliss is a much-needed breath of fresh air. "Brute Err / Atain" is a reminder that punk music is at its best when it's loud, abrasive, and unapologetically weird. So go ahead, crank up the volume, and let Terminal Bliss take you on a wild ride through the seedy underbelly of underground music.

About the artist

Terminal Bliss

Ah, TERMINAL BLISS, the electrifying quartet that's been causing a stir in the underground music scene for quite some time now. Comprised of former members of Pg. 99, Majority Rule, and City of Caterpillar, this supergroup is like a sonic tornado - chaotic, relentless, and utterly thrilling. Led by the powerhouse vocals of Wendy Schneider, TERMINAL BLISS is not your average hardcore punk band. Their sound is a whirlwind of blistering riffs, thunderous drums, and primal screams that will leave you feeling exhilarated and slightly dizzy. Their debut EP, "Brute Err/ata," is a sonic assault on the senses, with tracks like "Clean Bill of Wealth" and "Small One Time Fee" showcasing their ferocious energy and razor-sharp musicianship. The production is raw, abrasive, and unapologetically DIY - just the way we like it. But don't be fooled by their aggressive exterior, TERMINAL BLISS is also a band with a sense of humour. Tracks like "Dystopian Buffet" and "Jarring Awake" are laced with sardonic wit and tongue-in-cheek lyrics that will have you chuckling while headbanging. In a sea of cookie-cutter punk bands, TERMINAL BLISS stands out like a sore thumb - and that's exactly why we love them. With their uncompromising sound, fierce attitude, and infectious energy, this band is destined for big things. Catch them live if you can, but be prepared to leave the venue bruised, battered, and grinning from ear to ear.
