There's a lyric in Adrianne Lenker's latest album that goes "I've got your hands in my hair, we're thinking the same thought at the same time." Well, after listening to Bright Future, it's clear that Lenker and I were definitely not on the same wavelength.

The album kicks off with Lenker's signature ethereal vocals and intricate guitar melodies, painting a picture of introspection and melancholy. But just when you think you've got her figured out, she throws in a curveball with tracks like "The Butterflies" which sounds like a whimsical jam session in a meadow.

It's this unpredictability that makes Bright Future a refreshing listen.
