Our Take
Our Take
The Rolling Stones’ “Bridges To Babylon” is a trip down memory lane - if that lane had been paved with glitter and cocaine. Mick Jagger sounds as delightfully smug as ever, slithering his way through tracks like a snake charmer on his day off. Keith Richards’ guitar riffs are as crunchy as a bag of crisps left out in the rain, and Charlie Watts’s drumming is as tight as a pair of skinny jeans.
The album kicks off with “Flip the Switch,” a high-energy track that feels like a punch in the face from your drunk uncle at a family Christmas party. “Anybody Seen My Baby?” is a funky number that will have you grooving like your dad after a few too many shandies. And “Saint of Me” is a gospel-infused banger that will have you feeling like you’ve just been saved - by a raucous rock and roll sermon, of course.
But alas, not every track on “Bridges To Babylon” is a winner. “Out of Control” tries too hard to be edgy, coming off like a teenager who’s just discovered eyeliner for the first time. And “Might As Well Get Juiced” is a forgettable filler track that will have you wondering if your Spotify playlist has suddenly morphed into an elevator music channel.
Overall, “Bridges To Babylon” is a solid effort from The Rolling Stones - a band that refuses to let age slow them down. So grab a glass of whisky, crank up the volume, and let Mick and the gang take you on a wild ride down rock and roll memory lane. Cheers, lads.

About the artist
The Rolling Stones
The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones, quite possibly the greatest rock and roll band of all time, have been shaking things up in the music world since 1962. With their iconic lineup of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts, these lads from England have been delivering hit after hit for over five decades. Their music has often been described as a mix of blues, rock, and pure unadulterated swagger. With Jagger's unmatched stage presence and Richards' killer guitar riffs, it's no wonder fans have been flocking to their shows for years. The Stones are known for their wild antics both on and off stage. From trashing hotel rooms to partying with groupies, these guys have certainly lived up to their rockstar reputation. But make no mistake, behind all the chaos lies a band of incredibly talented musicians who have managed to withstand the test of time. Their discography is full of classic hits such as "Satisfaction," "Paint It Black," and "Sympathy for the Devil." Each album showcases their ability to evolve and stay relevant in an ever-changing music landscape. Despite their age, the Rolling Stones continue to tour and release new music, proving that they are truly timeless. So whether you're a die-hard fan or a casual listener, there's no denying the impact that the Rolling Stones have had on the music industry. In the words of Jagger himself, "It's only rock and roll, but we like it." And so do we.
