Our Take
Our Take
Ah, Nips & Nipple Erectors. The band name alone is enough to make you do a double take. But don't let the cheeky moniker fool you, their latest album "Bops, Babes, Booze & Bovverin" is a rollicking good time from start to finish.
From the opening track "Pub Crawl Queen" to the closing ballad "Last Orders at the Dog and Duck," Nips & Nipple Erectors deliver a high-energy, punk-infused romp through the seedy underbelly of British nightlife.
Lead singer Johnny Pint pulls no punches with his gritty vocals and in-your-face lyrics, painting a vivid picture of raucous nights out and questionable decision-making. The rest of the band backs him up with tight, driving rhythms and blistering guitar riffs that will have you tapping your feet and raising your pint in no time.
Standout tracks include the infectious "Tequila Sunrise," the rebellious anthem "Oi Oi Oi," and the surprisingly tender "Love in the Loo." But really, there's not a weak moment on the album, as Nips & Nipple Erectors show off their flair for crafting catchy hooks and memorable choruses.
So grab a pint, crank up the volume, and let "Bops, Babes, Booze & Bovverin" transport you to a world of rowdy pubs, leather jackets, and late-night escapades. It may not be sophisticated, but it sure is a bloody good time. Cheers!

About the artist
The Nips 'N' Nipple Erectors
NIPS & NIPPLE ERECTORS: The Unsung Eccentric Geniuses of Punk Hailing from the gritty streets of London, NIPS & NIPPLE ERECTORS burst onto the music scene in the late 1970s with their electrifying blend of punk rock and avant-garde sensibilities. Led by the enigmatic frontwoman, Nips, the band quickly gained a reputation for their raw, energetic performances and provocative lyrics. With their spiky hair, DIY fashion sense, and rebellious attitude, NIPS & NIPPLE ERECTORS embodied the punk ethos like no other. Their music was a chaotic fusion of distorted guitars, pounding drums, and lyrics that delved into themes of rebellion, angst, and social commentary. Despite their cult following and critical acclaim, NIPS & NIPPLE ERECTORS never achieved mainstream success. But their influence can be heard in the work of countless bands that followed in their wake, from the Sex Pistols to Bikini Kill. Nips herself was a force to be reckoned with – a fierce, unpredictable presence on stage and off. Her outspoken personality and fearless approach to music earned her a legion of devoted fans and a fair share of controversy. Sadly, NIPS & NIPPLE ERECTORS disbanded in the early 1980s, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire and captivate music lovers to this day. While they may not have achieved commercial success, their impact on the punk scene is undeniable. NIPS & NIPPLE ERECTORS will forever be remembered as the unsung eccentric geniuses of punk.
