Our Take

Classix Nouveaux's "Battle Cry" is an adrenaline-fueled romp through the wild world of new wave. With a blend of edgy synths, catchy hooks, and energetic vocals, this album is a true blast from the past that demands attention. From the moment the opening track "Soldier" kicks in, you can't help but be drawn in by the infectious energy of this band. It's like a musical battle cry, urging you to get up and dance like it's the 80s all over again. Frontman Sal Solo's vocals soar effortlessly over the pulsating rhythms and shimmering guitars, creating a sense of urgency and excitement that is impossible to resist. Tracks like "No Sympathy, No Violins" and "Mannequin" showcase the band's ability to blend catchy pop sensibilities with a darker edge, resulting in a sound that is both accessible and intriguing. But it's not all fun and games on this album - tracks like "Inside Outside" and "Every Home" delve into more introspective themes, showcasing the band's versatility and depth. Overall, "Battle Cry" is a must-listen for any fan of new wave or 80s music in general. Classix Nouveaux have crafted a timeless gem that is guaranteed to get your blood pumping and your feet moving. So go ahead, crank up the volume and let the battle cry begin.
