Our Take

Ha! Halestorm is back from the dead, or so they claim in their latest album, aptly titled "Back From The Dead (Deluxe Edition)". This hard-rocking quartet has always been known for their feisty attitude and powerhouse vocals, and they certainly don't disappoint with this new release. Lead singer Lzzy Hale's voice is as fierce as ever, cutting through the mix like a chainsaw through butter.

The album kicks off with the title track, a blistering anthem that grabs you by the proverbial balls and doesn't let go. From there, we're taken on a rollercoaster ride of heavy riffs, catchy hooks, and infectious melodies. Tracks like "Heart of Novocaine" and "I Hate It When You See Me Cry" showcase the band's ability to write radio-friendly rock songs without compromising their edge.

But it's not all about the heavy stuff. Halestorm also knows how to dial it back with the acoustic ballad "The Last One", which showcases Lzzy's softer side. And let's not forget the bonus tracks on the deluxe edition, including a killer cover of The Who's "Long Live Rock".

Overall, "Back From The Dead (Deluxe Edition)" is a solid offering from a band that knows how to rock. Halestorm may have been quiet for a while, but they've come back swinging with an album that proves they're still one of the best in the biz. So grab a beer, turn up the volume, and let Halestorm remind you why rock 'n' roll will never die. Cheers!

About the artist

Halestorm

Ah, HALESTORM - the hard-hitting, powerhouse quartet from Red Lion, Pennsylvania. Led by the fierce and fearless frontwoman Lzzy Hale, this band has been ripping up stages and turning heads since their debut in 2009. With their blend of heavy rock, metal, and raw emotion, HALESTORM has solidified their place as one of the most formidable forces in contemporary music. Hale's vocals are nothing short of astounding - she can go from a sultry whisper to a full-on scream in the blink of an eye, leaving audiences in awe of her range and power. Guitarist Joe Hottinger, bassist Josh Smith, and drummer Arejay Hale (Lzzy's brother) round out the group, bringing a level of energy and chemistry that is truly electrifying. Their music is a sonic onslaught of crunchy riffs, thunderous drums, and anthemic choruses that will have you singing along at the top of your lungs. Tracks like "Love Bites (So Do I)" and "I Miss the Misery" are perfect examples of HALESTORM's ability to marry ear-shredding instrumentation with catchy, radio-friendly hooks. But don't let their commercial success fool you - this band has serious chops. They have shared the stage with legends like Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, and Avenged Sevenfold, proving that they can more than hold their own in the world of rock 'n' roll. In a world oversaturated with cookie-cutter rock bands, HALESTORM stands out as a beacon of authenticity and brilliance. With their unapologetic attitude and killer live shows, this is one band that is not to be missed.
