Album Review: Ocrilim - Anointin' Pull out your flannels and light some incense, because Ocrilim's latest offering, "Anointin'," is taking us on a psychedelic journey through the cosmos. Lead singer and multi-instrumentalist, Mick "The Madman" Smith, weaves a tapestry of sound that is both ethereal and chaotic. The opening track, "Celestial Bliss," lulls you into a false sense of security before hitting you with a wave of distorted guitars and thunderous drums that will leave you questioning your own existence. The real standout on this album is the 20-minute opus, "Interstellar Odyssey." With its shifting time signatures and otherworldly vocals, it feels like you're hurtling through space at the speed of light, only to crash land on a distant planet filled with neon trees and talking squirrels.
