Our Take

Ah, yes, the iconic sounds of 1959. A time when music was as fresh as a pint of warm ale on a summer's day. Various Artists' "America's Greatest Hits Vol. 10 1959" takes us on a whirlwind journey through the hits of yesteryear, reminding us of a simpler time when rock 'n' roll ruled the airwaves.

The album kicks off with the infectious groove of The Everly Brothers' "Bird Dog", a toe-tapping ditty that will have you shimmying around your living room like a loon at a ceilidh. From there, we are treated to the smooth crooning of Bobby Darin on "Mack the Knife", a timeless classic that still manages to send shivers down the spine.
