Our Take
Cracker's latest album, "Alternative History," is a charmingly offbeat collection that pokes fun at music industry norms while showcasing the band's unique blend of alt-rock and Americana. From the opening track, "Biscuit Revolution," with its cheeky lyrics about overthrowing the mainstream music establishment, to the closing ballad, "Jammie Dodger Dreams," "Alternative History" is a rollercoaster ride of wit and whimsy. Lead singer David Lowery's deadpan delivery complements the band's sardonic lyrics, adding a layer of irony to songs like "Tea and Sympathy" and "Punk Rock Digestive Biscuit."
