Our Take

Liam Gallagher's latest offering, "All You're Dreaming Of," is like a warm cuppa on a rainy day—comforting, familiar, and a bit bland. The former Oasis frontman sticks to his usual formula of raw vocals and anthemic choruses, but fails to offer anything new or exciting.

The album opens with the title track, a saccharine ballad that feels like a watered-down version of Gallagher's previous hits. While his voice still carries that signature swagger, the lacklustre lyrics and predictable melodies let him down.

Tracks like "All My Dreams" and "Now That I Found You" attempt to inject some energy into the album, but fall short of capturing the magic of Gallagher's glory days. The instrumental arrangements feel uninspired and the production lacks the punch that made Oasis so iconic.

Gallagher's attempt at a stripped-back acoustic vibe on songs like "All You're Dreaming Of (Acoustic)" and "All You're Dreaming Of (Piano Demo)" only serves to highlight the album's lack of depth and originality.

Overall, "All You're Dreaming Of" is a forgettable addition to Liam Gallagher's discography. While die-hard fans may find some solace in his familiar sound, casual listeners are unlikely to be swayed by this lacklustre effort. Gallagher may still be dreaming of past glories, but this album falls short of recapturing them.

About the artist

Liam Gallagher

Liam Gallagher, the infamous frontman of Oasis and latterly Beady Eye, is a force to be reckoned with in the world of rock 'n' roll. With his trademark swagger, iconic Manchester accent, and unapologetic attitude, Gallagher has been a divisive figure in the music industry for nearly three decades. From his early days as the lead singer of Oasis, Gallagher made a name for himself with his raw vocal power and knack for writing anthemic choruses. Hits like "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back in Anger" catapulted the band to international fame, making them one of the biggest acts of the '90s Britpop movement. After Oasis split in 2009, Gallagher wasted no time in launching his solo career, releasing critically acclaimed albums like "As You Were" and "Why Me? Why Not." His solo work showcases a more mature side to Gallagher, with introspective lyrics and powerful vocals that prove he's still a force to be reckoned with. But it's not just his music that has kept Gallagher in the spotlight – it's his larger-than-life personality and penchant for causing controversy wherever he goes. Whether he's feuding with his brother Noel, getting into Twitter spats with fellow musicians, or simply speaking his mind in interviews, Gallagher is always good for a headline. Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Liam Gallagher is a true rock 'n' roll star. With his electrifying performances, anthemic songs, and unapologetic attitude, he continues to captivate audiences around the world, proving that he's still one of the most enduring figures in British music. And for that, we salute you, Liam Gallagher. Keep on rocking, you mad Mancunian legend.
