Our Take

Tally-ho, old chap! The Rolling Stones' "Aftermath" is like a piping hot cup of tea on a rainy day - comforting, familiar, and just a tad bit naughty. Released in 1966 on the other side of the pond, this album is a true gem from the British invasion era.

Mick Jagger's vocals are smoother than a freshly baked scone, with Keith Richards' guitar riffs cutting through like a knife through butter. The chemistry between the band members is palpable, as they effortlessly blend rock, blues, and a touch of psychedelia into a delicious musical stew.

Tracks like "Paint It Black" and "Under My Thumb" are classic Stones - edgy, rebellious, and impossible to resist. And who could forget the cheeky "Stupid Girl", a tongue-in-cheek ode to, well, stupid girls.

But it's not all fun and games on "Aftermath". The haunting "Lady Jane" showcases the band's more tender side, while "I Am Waiting" is a brooding ballad that lingers like a bad dream.

Overall, "Aftermath" is a must-have for any self-respecting Rolling Stones fan. It's a reminder of a time when rock 'n' roll was king, and the Stones were at the top of their game. So grab a pint, put on your dancing shoes, and let the music take you back to swinging London in the 60s. Cheers!

About the artist

The Rolling Stones

The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones, quite possibly the greatest rock and roll band of all time, have been shaking things up in the music world since 1962. With their iconic lineup of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, and Charlie Watts, these lads from England have been delivering hit after hit for over five decades. Their music has often been described as a mix of blues, rock, and pure unadulterated swagger. With Jagger's unmatched stage presence and Richards' killer guitar riffs, it's no wonder fans have been flocking to their shows for years. The Stones are known for their wild antics both on and off stage. From trashing hotel rooms to partying with groupies, these guys have certainly lived up to their rockstar reputation. But make no mistake, behind all the chaos lies a band of incredibly talented musicians who have managed to withstand the test of time. Their discography is full of classic hits such as "Satisfaction," "Paint It Black," and "Sympathy for the Devil." Each album showcases their ability to evolve and stay relevant in an ever-changing music landscape. Despite their age, the Rolling Stones continue to tour and release new music, proving that they are truly timeless. So whether you're a die-hard fan or a casual listener, there's no denying the impact that the Rolling Stones have had on the music industry. In the words of Jagger himself, "It's only rock and roll, but we like it." And so do we.
