Various Artists: A Strange Tribute to Taylor Swift In a world where Taylor Swift reigns supreme as the queen of pop music, it takes true gumption - or sheer madness - to attempt a tribute album in her honour. But that's exactly what we have with "A Strange Tribute to Taylor Swift," a collection of covers that range from the sublime to the downright bizarre. The album kicks off with a haunting rendition of "Shake It Off" by indie darlings The Smiths, giving the sugary pop anthem a brooding edge that Taylor herself could only dream of. Meanwhile, Arctic Monkeys deliver a slick and sultry take on "Blank Space," transforming the track into a seductive, slow-burning jam that is sure to set hearts aflutter. But it's not all plain sailing on this tribute album. The notoriously experimental Radiohead take on "Bad Blood" falls flat, with Thom Yorke's trademark warble clashing awkwardly with the song's high energy pop vibe.
