Our Take

At first glance, one might assume that a band calling themselves ERA would be cooking up some cheesy medieval tunes or maybe even a serious attempt at Gregorian chanting. But, dear reader, prepare yourself for a wild ride with ERA 3 and their latest album, "Words My World."

From the moment the first track kicked in, it was clear that ERA 3 were not messing about. The crunchy guitar riffs and pounding drums hit you like a double-decker bus at rush hour - in the best possible way. This is not your average elevator music, oh no. This is music to make you want to jump up and down like a hyperactive kangaroo.

Lead singer Johnny McJones brings a unique vocal style to the table, with a range that goes from a sultry whisper to a full-blown scream in the space of a single verse. It's like listening to Freddy Mercury and Axl Rose have a love child, and it is glorious.

The band's lyrics are a clever mix of witty wordplay and heart-wrenching emotion, painting a vivid picture of a world that is both absurd and beautiful. Tracks like "Fizzy Pop Sunshine" and "Sock Puppets of Doom" will have you laughing one minute and crying the next.

Overall, "Words My World" is a rollercoaster of an album that will leave you breathless and begging for more. ERA 3 have proven themselves to be a force to be reckoned with in the music world, and I, for one, cannot wait to see what they do next. Brava, lads, brava.

About the artist

Era

ERA is a rising star in the music industry, with a sound that defies easy categorization. Hailing from a small town in the heart of the UK, ERA's music is a unique blend of indie pop, electronica, and soulful vocals that will leave you craving more. With influences ranging from The Cure to FKA Twigs, ERA's music is a breath of fresh air in a world dominated by formulaic pop tunes. Their latest single, "Electric Dreams," is a perfect example of their genre-defying sound, with catchy hooks and a killer bass line that will have you dancing all night long. But ERA is more than just a talented musician – they're also a force to be reckoned with on stage. Their live performances are a sight to behold, with energy levels that rival the likes of Beyoncé and Prince. Whether they're performing in a small club or headlining a festival, ERA knows how to captivate an audience and leave them wanting more. In a music industry that often feels oversaturated with cookie-cutter artists, ERA stands out as a true original. With their infectious sound and undeniable stage presence, it's only a matter of time before they become a household name. Keep your eye on ERA – this is one artist who's destined for greatness.
