Revolting Cocks
RevCo, as they're affectionately known by their fans, have been shaking up the industrial music scene since the late 1980s. Formed as a side project by frontman Richard 23 and Luc Van Acker, alongside members of Ministry and Front Line Assembly, Revolting Cocks have always pushed the boundaries of electronic music.
Their sound is a glorious mess of grinding guitars, throbbing synthesizers, and cheeky lyrics that veer from the political to the profane. Tracks like "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" and "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?" are not only a nod to their Rod Stewart cover obsession, but a reflection of their irreverent attitude towards music.
Despite being a revolving door of members over the years, RevCo has always maintained their unique sound and style. Whether it's the industrial rock of their early albums or the experimental electronica of their later work, Revolting Cocks have always been unapologetically themselves.
Their live shows are a sight to behold, with Richard 23's commanding presence and the band's infectious energy keeping audiences on their feet. And let's not forget their infamous stage antics, including inflatable genitalia and copious amounts of booze.
In a genre known for its grim aesthetic and serious attitude, Revolting Cocks have always been a breath of fresh air. Their music may be revolting, but it's also damn catchy. So grab a beer, crank up the volume, and get ready to get down and dirty with RevCo.
