EXCITER's "Heavy Metal Maniac" is as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face, and I mean that in the best possible way. This Canadian trio have been making noise since the early 80s, yet their brand of raw, no-frills, in-your-face metal still packs a punch that can knock you off your feet.
From the opening track "The Holocaust" to the closing notes of "Black Witch", EXCITER take no prisoners with their thrashy riffs, blistering solos, and fist-pumping anthems. It's like being transported back to the heyday of the NWOBHM, with a modern twist that keeps things fresh and exciting.
Vocalist Dan Beehler's screams could shatter glass, while the guitar work of John Ricci and Allan Johnson is nothing short of ferocious. And let's not forget about the thundering drums that drive the whole album forward like a freight train in overdrive.
