Maximum Penalty
MAXIMUM PENALTY are a band that have been tearing up the hardcore scene since the late 80s, and they show no signs of slowing down. Hailing from New York City, these guys bring a unique blend of aggressive riffs, breakneck tempo changes, and socially conscious lyrics that will have you moshing one minute and contemplating the state of the world the next.
Their latest album, "Life Goes On," is a true powerhouse of an album, with tracks like "Cause for Alarm" and "No One Wins" hitting you like a sledgehammer to the gut. The band's no-nonsense approach to songwriting is refreshing in a world where so many artists are more focused on image than substance.
I had the pleasure of catching MAXIMUM PENALTY live last year, and let me tell you, they do not disappoint. The energy they bring to the stage is infectious, and their tight musicianship is nothing short of impressive. I found myself headbanging along with the rest of the crowd, swept up in the raw power of their performance.
If you're a fan of old school hardcore with a modern twist, MAXIMUM PENALTY are definitely a band you need to check out. They may not be a household name, but they are without a doubt one of the most underrated acts in the scene right now. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
