Marrowfields
Marrowfields are the heaviest band to come out of New England since the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. Hailing from the hallowed grounds of Boston, this four-piece doom metal outfit have been churning out bone-crushing riffs and guttural vocals since 2016.
Their debut album, "Metamorphoses," is a sonic journey through the darkest depths of the human psyche, filled with crushing guitars, thunderous drums, and haunting melodies. With influences ranging from Black Sabbath to Neurosis, Marrowfields have carved out a sound that is both familiar and unique, blending the old-school grit of classic doom metal with a modern edge.
Frontman John Murphy's vocals are reminiscent of a demonic preacher, commanding the listener's attention with his haunting growls and guttural screams. Guitarist Michael Somers shreds with the precision of a surgeon, weaving intricate melodies through walls of distortion. Bassist Tim Cabral and drummer Kenny Mullins provide a solid foundation, laying down the heavy groove that drives each song forward.
Marrowfields are not simply a band - they are a force of nature, a musical juggernaut that cannot be stopped. Their live shows are a visceral experience, with the band's energy and intensity radiating off the stage and into the crowd. If you're a fan of heavy music that leaves a mark on your soul, Marrowfields are a band you need to hear. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
