Tom Morello to Join Bruce Springsteen And E Street Band at Every Show on Upcoming Tour
Tom Morello Joins Bruce Springsteen on Land Of Hope And Dreams Tour
Now this is the sort of news that makes you wish you had a ticket already tucked inside an old tour programme.
Tom Morello has officially been announced as a special guest on the upcoming Land Of Hope And Dreams American Tour with Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. Even better? He’ll be joining them on selected songs at every date of the tour.
That’s not just a cameo. That’s a proper collaboration.
Morello — Grammy-winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame-inducted, and one of the most inventive guitarists of his generation — is best known for bending six strings into shapes most of us didn’t even know were possible. From his seismic work with Rage Against the Machine to the anthemic punch of Audioslave, he’s always brought fire and fury in equal measure.
His connection with Springsteen goes back years. After performing a blistering version of “The Ghost of Tom Joad” with Rage Against the Machine, Morello first joined Springsteen and the E Street Band live in 2008. What followed was an extended run as a touring guest between 2012 and 2015 — and studio appearances on Springsteen’s albums Wrecking Ball and High Hopes. The respect clearly runs both ways, with Springsteen later appearing on Morello’s 2021 solo album The Atlas Underground Fire.
When these two share a stage, it’s not polite or restrained. It’s electric.
For fans heading to the American dates, expect moments of raw intensity — that unmistakable E Street swell colliding with Morello’s razor-sharp, effects-drenched solos. “The Ghost of Tom Joad” feels like a certainty, but don’t be surprised if other classics get a fresh jolt of distortion.
For vinyl collectors, it’s another reminder of how beautifully these catalogues sit side by side on the shelf — Springsteen’s heartland storytelling and Morello’s revolutionary edge. Two different energies, one shared belief in the power of rock ’n’ roll.
Land Of Hope And Dreams, indeed.
If this partnership spills into new recordings or a live pressing down the line, you know we’ll be first in the queue.
