The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation is back with their latest album, "Anthropomorphicin," and it's safe to say that they continue to defy categorisation in the most gloriously perplexing way possible. From the opening track, "The Lure of the Animal," the band sets the tone with haunting, otherworldly sounds that immediately draw you in. As the album progresses, you are taken on a rollercoaster of emotions, with moments of pure chaos juxtaposed with moments of eerie stillness. It's a masterclass in musical storytelling, with each track building upon the last to create a vast, immersive sonic landscape. The musicianship on display here is nothing short of superb.
